Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 13 October 2026

These terms describe, simply and openly, how we work together. They apply to the use of this website and to the assistance services offered by TeAjut.ch (Elena Widmer). Every collaboration is defined concretely in an individual written offer; if the offer says something different from these general terms, the offer prevails on that point.

If anything is unclear, ask me before you decide. The first introductory conversation is free and without obligation.

1.1. Nature of the service

TeAjut.ch provides personal assistance in French-speaking Switzerland, in particular in Vaud and Geneva: information and guidance, research, organisation and coordination, practical and language support in Romanian, English, French, Italian and Russian. I work as an independent person under a mandate within the meaning of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO): I undertake to work with care and loyalty, not to guarantee a particular result.

  • Studies: university guidance, support with organising application files, CV, motivation letters and preparation for interviews or internships.
  • Settling in and personal assistance: researching housing listings, informative visits, preparing the move, furniture, equipment, shopping and suppliers.
  • Companies: market research, identifying potential partners or customers, coordination support, preparing participation in fairs and events.
  • Tailored projects: research, comparing offers, finding providers or products, organisation, where the situation allows.

2.2. What I do not do

TeAjut.ch is not a regulated agency and does not offer services that require special authorisation. Each request is assessed individually, depending on feasibility and the applicable legal framework. In particular, I do not:

  • act as an employment agency or place staff (I can help with your CV, motivation letter and interview preparation, but I do not place you with an employer);
  • act as a real-estate broker: I help you search for housing and organise informative viewings, but you sign the lease or purchase contract directly with the owner or the managing agent;
  • give legal, tax, immigration or medical advice; for these I point you to authorised professionals (lawyer, fiduciary, doctor, competent authorities);
  • provide professional transport of persons or goods;
  • make travel or accommodation bookings as an agency (booking);
  • guarantee admission to a university, obtaining housing, a job, a contract or any other outcome that depends on third parties.

3.Limits and acting on your behalf

If a request falls outside these limits, I will tell you openly and, where I can, point you to someone suitable. The information on the website is general in nature and does not replace the advice of a specialist.

When I act on your behalf (for example requesting a quote or scheduling a visit), I do so only with your agreement and within the limits of the offer.

4.3. The free introductory call

The first introductory conversation of 15–20 minutes is free and without obligation. It lets me understand what you need and tell you honestly whether and how I can help.

Submitting the contact form does not create a contract and does not guarantee that I will take on the request. I will reply after reviewing the details.

5.4. Services, offers and prices

I do not display price lists on the website, because every request is different. Services and prices are agreed exclusively through an individual written offer (which may also be sent by e-mail). The offer states, as applicable: what the service includes and excludes, the duration, the price and currency, whether VAT is included, the payment method and the validity period.

The cooperation starts when you accept the offer in writing (including by e-mail) and, if the offer provides for it, after payment of a deposit. By accepting the offer you also accept these terms, in the version indicated in or attached to the offer.

Third-party costs (tuition fees, rent, deposits, purchases, tickets, fees of other specialists, etc.) are not included unless the offer says otherwise. Expenses I incur with your agreement are reimbursed as set out in the offer. Any extension of the services is agreed in advance.

6.5. What I ask of you and what you can ask of me

A good collaboration works both ways. From you, I ask:

  • to give me correct, complete and up-to-date information and documents, and to tell me if your situation changes;
  • to make the final decisions yourself; contracts with third parties (landlords, universities, suppliers) are concluded in your name unless we agreed otherwise in writing;
  • to answer questions and respect deadlines, because some procedures (applications, payment deadlines, viewings) are time-sensitive;
  • not to ask me to do anything unlawful or that would infringe the rights of other people;
  • to pay the agreed amounts on time;
  • not to send me sensitive data through the form or WhatsApp unless we agreed this beforehand;
  • if you are a parent or guardian: to act for the minor and to confirm that you are entitled to do so.

7.6. Providers and third parties

For some services I deal with third parties: universities, landlords, estate agents, shops, doctors or other providers, carriers, event organisers, translators. They are independent. You conclude the contract directly with them; I am not a party to that contract and I am not responsible for their prices, availability or performance.

I choose and recommend with care. If, with your agreement, I involve a third party on your behalf, I am responsible for the diligence with which I selected and instructed them (Art. 399 CO). Links to third-party services, such as WhatsApp, work under those third parties' own terms.

8.7. Liability

I work with the care expected of an attentive professional (Art. 398 CO) and, under Swiss law, I am liable for damage I cause you by breaching my obligations unless I prove that I was not at fault (Art. 97 CO). In addition, to the extent the law allows:

  • I am not liable for the acts, omissions, prices or services of third parties;
  • I am not liable for outcomes that depend on decisions of third parties or authorities (admission, approvals, availability of housing, etc.);
  • I am not liable for the consequences of inaccurate or incomplete information received from you;
  • I am not liable for delays or inability to perform caused by force majeure or other circumstances beyond my control;
  • for slight negligence, liability for indirect damage (for example lost profit) is excluded, and for other damage my liability is limited to the fee paid for the service concerned.

9.What the limits above do not cover

The limits above do not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence (Art. 100 CO), for injury to life or health, or in any other situation where the law does not permit liability to be limited. Mandatory consumer rights are not affected.

10.8. Confidentiality

I treat the information you entrust to me with discretion and use it only for the agreed service. I share it with third parties only as far as your project requires and with your knowledge, or where the law obliges me. For companies, we can sign a separate confidentiality agreement if needed.

My confidentiality is contractual; it is not a statutory professional secrecy like that of lawyers or doctors. How I process your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

11.9. Ending the collaboration and consumer rights

The collaboration takes place under a mandate: either of us may end it at any time by written notice (Art. 404 CO). If it is ended at an inopportune moment, the party ending it may owe compensation for the damage caused. Services already performed and expenses already incurred remain payable.

If you are a consumer, your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal provided by the applicable law (for example in some EU countries), are not affected. Where they apply, I will explain them in the offer.

12.10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and our collaboration are governed by Swiss law, in particular the Code of Obligations (CO). The courts of [Competent court location, canton of Vaud], Switzerland, have jurisdiction over disputes.

If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country where you live, and your right to bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence where the law grants you that right, are not affected.

I hope we never get there. If something upsets you, write to me and we will look for an amicable solution together.

13.11. Use of the website

The texts, logo and design of the website are protected by copyright; please do not reproduce them without my consent. I do my best to keep the information on the website correct and up to date, but errors or changes may occur, and I do not guarantee that the website will be available without interruption.

14.12. Language and changes

The Romanian version is the reference version for interpreting these terms; the English version is a courtesy translation.

I may update these terms. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page, and the version in force when you accept the offer applies to your collaboration.
